Our People

Francis Mweti comes from the Meru tribe at the foot of Mount Kenya and was employed by Colin as a ranch worker in 1981. He herded cattle and sheep, worked with the horses and as a fencer on the ranch, and in 1992 he moved with the Francombe family to Ol Malo. He is now head chef and heads all aspects of the household: his nickname Mtafari - ‘brick’ – is a measure of his value to the operation.
